Tempura, the Typical Japanese Food 

If you would like to have typical Japanese food, why don’t you go here?

The good-looking chef serves you really tasty tempura.
You can have it directly, or with dipping in a special broth or some salt.
You can also enjoy seeing the chef fry tempura.

Mr. Brown, the American manager of the professional baseball team in Hiroshima (Hiroshima Carp), also visits here!

About the Castle

Hiroshima Castle was built in 1589 by the feudal lord in Hiroshima. It was destroyed by the atomic bomb in 1945 and rebuilt in 1958. This year, 2008, is 50 years since the reconstruction. You can see not only downtown but also The Atomic Bomb Dome and Miyajima from the castle tower. You can try on kimono, the Japanese traditional clothes, and samurai helmet in the first floor. At the museum shop in the first floor, you can get a postcard(100 yen), original T-shirt(2800 yen), a book about swords(1500 yen), and other goods about Japanese castle and samurai. Please note that there is no restroom in the castle tower.

Access

If you go by bus, take the bus24 at the bus stop in front of Kosei Nenkin Kaikan Hall next to Aster plaza, and get off at the Kamiya-cho stop. It costs 190 yen for adults and 100 yen for children (12 or under), and takes about ten minutes. Then proceed north. It takes about ten to fifteen minutes from the bus stop to the castle on foot.

About The DAISO

The DAISO is located near the Peace Memorial Park. You can get various kinds of commodities here. It has eight stories. Almost every commodity is 105 yen (tax-in). Some goods cost more. Japanese fans, chopsticks, tapestries, peelers, kitchen knives, fish scalers, and animated goods are also available.
